As officers were chasing the suspect, it was observed that he was in possession of a handgun. Four were immediately apprehended, while the main suspect fled towards Burlington Coat Factory. As the five individuals exited the mall near the food court, tactical officers made contact. CSPD Tactical units were requested to respond to the area to apprehend the suspect. Through the detectives previous investigation, it was likely the suspect may be armed. The vehicles travelled to the Citadel mall, where detectives continued surveillance on the five individuals on foot inside the mall. That vehicle was also found to be stolen. While conducting surveillance, the suspect met up with another vehicle that was occupied by four more individuals. The suspect was seen in a stolen vehicle. Fugitive detectives from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) located an adult male suspect they have been looking for who has at least one felony warrant. ![]()
